Overview
Sakauya Coffee Shop, a long-standing fixture in Tokyo known for its serene atmosphere and cherry blossom motif, sought a comprehensive rebrand to revitalize its image while honoring its heritage. Our task was to create a modern, inviting, and memorable brand identity that resonated with both loyal customers and a new generation of coffee enthusiasts, extending across digital and physical touchpoints.

Challenges
The primary challenge was to modernize Sakauya's visual identity without alienating its established customer base. The existing branding felt dated, failing to fully capture the delicate beauty of its cherry blossom theme or its premium coffee offerings. We needed to strike a balance between tradition and contemporary appeal, ensuring the new brand felt fresh yet familiar, and could be consistently applied across diverse media, from packaging to digital platforms.




Solution
We developed a sophisticated new logo, color palette, and typography that subtly integrated cherry blossom elements with clean, modern lines. The new brand guidelines ensured consistency across all materials. For the web presence, we designed and developed a responsive Webflow site that mirrored the cafe's tranquil ambiance, featuring an intuitive menu, online ordering integration, and a visual narrative of the brand's story. Packaging and in-store collateral were also redesigned to reflect the elevated aesthetic.
